What is the best digital camera out there that is inexpensive?

I had a Nikon Coolpix 2500 camera that I really liked. BUT, it stopped working properly. So, I now need to get a new one! What is the best digital camera out there that is inexpensive?
Fuji 1500. It is Amazing and under 200. 10mega pixels and 12x zoom. Seriously try one out at Walmart or Target. It blows the over priced cameras out of the water. And a really nice thing is that it uses double A batteries. Just buy rechargeables and never worry about having your camera go dead again.
The Nikon Coolpix 2500 is a 2mp point n shoot. The Fuji S1500 is a nice camera but I don’t think its what you have in mind as a replacement.
Try
Vivitar Vivicam 8324 $69.88
Kodak EasyShare C182 Silver 12MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom $78.54
A little more expensive but very highly rated
Canon PowerShot A1100IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD $129
I’ve got a Fuji Finepix S5700 which is an excellent camera and has a good review (see link below) but has been superseded by newer models such as the Fujifilm Finepix S1500 Digital Camera.
In the UK you can purchase this camera for £129, which is quite a reasonable price for a quality camera like this.
The Fuji S1500 was mentioned a few times. What it is: a bit larger than compacts, has lots of zoom (to bring your subject in closer at a distance). You can actually learn a bit about photography with this camera because it allows you to set different shutter speeds/apertures (or leave it on auto). Good on batteries, and bottom line it has very good image quality. About $200- in stores.
Another suggestion is the Canon A1000 IS.
you can consider buying Canon PowerShot SX200IS 12 MP Digital Camera
# 12x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer; 28mm wide-angle lens
# HD movie shooting capability plus HDMI output
# 3.0-inch LCD screen; Face Detection, Blink Detection
Fujifilm FinePix S1500 10MP Digital Camera with 12x Wide Angle Dual Image Stabilized Optical Zoom
